Rlc San Um

Cattleya trianae x Rlc. Magic of Granada

It doesn’t always work out the way you want it to.
Pollinated in February 2017 and sent the capsule to the lab for green seeding six
months later, I received 14 bottles back in September 2018. I sold most of them
to a nursery in Korea, which in hindsight was a good idea.
Of the remaining four bottles, 2 got moldy, and I was able to get almost 100
seedlings from the other two.
While the Korean nursery was able to show the first flowering plants just three years
later, the number of my young plants steadily decreased until they were all dead.
The flower pictures are courtesy of Bodhi Orchid Farm, Gongju, South Korea.
