Vanda garayi VII x Seidenfadenia mitrata
My first intergeneric hybrid.
Pollinated in May 2017 and the capsule sent to the lab for green sowing five
months later, I received 14 flasks back at the end of 2018.
The many seedlings, over 40 per bottle, were partly mounted, the rest were grown
in plastic baskets without substrate, 100 of which were sold before flowering.
The first plant flowered in April 2021 and the result was positively surprising in
terms of color. I named this hybrid after my father. There are now around 30 plants
left that are growing well and flowering several times a year.
